Community events connect us to each other and often play an important role in disseminating information to communities about social issues and services.

The forced isolation and distancing we're now experiencing through COVID-19 has given us a greater appreciation for the value of connecting with our communities through events.

But what efforts have been made to measure the impact of community events?

Join SIMNA's Western Sydney Committee to discuss how the impact of community-based cultural events is measured in the wonderfully diverse Western Sydney region.

The discussion will include Maria Tong, Senior Quantitative Researcher from City of Parramatta and Elizabeth Schaffer, independent evaluator of the award-winning Refugee Camp in My Neighbourhood event.

Maria and Elizabeth will share the successes and challenges of measuring the impact of cultural events in their communities.

Look forward to seeing you there!
