Measuring and articulating impact is crucial for effective social governance, and many experts have provided the field with novel approaches to measure, evaluate, assess, audit, or manage social impact. However, the diverse and sometimes confusing terminology used in this field has become a major obstacle to its widespread adoption.

MEET THE PRESENTER

Rose Ahearn is an Associate Lecturer and PhD Candidate at the University of Queensland. Her teaching and research are in the field of social research methodology, particularly the role of evidence in maintaining of eliminating social inequality. She is well known throughout the social sector for her previous work as a Chief Investigator and Product Owner for the Centre for Social Impact’s Amplify Online Platform. Alongside leading over $4 million in social impact evaluation projects, Rose is now undertaking a comprehensive meta-evaluation into the measurement practices of the Australian not-for-profit sector.
